What is the difference between The Deodorant Gel and The Deodorant?
The Deodorant Gel and The Deodorant are formulated with our signature 5% AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acid) complex to combat odor, treat discoloration and minimize bumps. The Deodorant Gel is a quick-dry clear liquid ideal for light-to-normal odor control. The Deodorant (cream) is an absorbent clay-based shield ideal for normal-to-heavy odor control.

Why is The Deodorant Gel formulated with Mandelic Acid?
The Deodorant Gel and The Deodorant are both formulated with Mandelic Acid to provide a low pH environment that inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria. While Mandelic Acid's primary role is to help provide clean odor control, the gentle exfoliation also helps to minimize shaving bumps.

Why is The Deodorant formulated without Ozokerite?
Nécessaire adheres to EU ingredient standards and EU ingredient listing. All ingredients inclusive of all incidentals are captured on our ingredient labels. During our development process of The Deodorant our clinical team and vendor partners were not able to find a clean Ozokerite as base for our formula. The available sources of Ozokerite that we found had incidental traces of BHT or Paraffin. We therefore used Sunflower Wax as our base. A Sunflower Was base is softer which means that there can be slight dome imperfections, but we welcome those imperfections in exchange for better ingredients.

The Deodorant is Aluminum-Free, Baking Soda-Free, Ozokerite-Free, Paraben-Free, PEG-Free and Silicone-Free. The Deodorant adheres to EU formulation standard and EU ingredient listing. All ingredients inclusive of all incidentals are captured on the ingredient labeling across website and on pack. The Deodorant is dermatologist-tested, hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic.

    Please Bring Back Unscented--signed a formally stinky girl

    I LOVE this deodorant. I have very sensitive skin, am allergic to just about everything, and sweat A LOT. This is the first aluminum/baking soda/ titanium dioxide-free deodorant that actually keeps me from stinking! I'm an esthetician and former podcaster who has told all of her followers about this incredible brand. I have tried similar products (AHA deodorants), and they don't work as well as this brand.

    Please bring back the unscented version! I'll always purchase this deodorant; however I am very sensitive to scent, and as previous reviewers have mentioned, the scent clashes with my (very expensive) perfume.

    Excellent Deodorant; Please Bring Back Unscented!

    This deodorant works when no other aluminum-free deodorants have. Never stains my clothing and is super reliable. The five stars are for the performance. However, I’m so disappointed that the unscented version is no longer available - it was the best. The Eucalyptus scent is nice (I use it in the body way), but it clashes with the fragrance I wear. Please bring back unscented! Frustrating to only have one option in this now.

    Amazing Odor Protection

    This lives up to it's promise by protecting me from odor all day long. What's better it does not leave residue on my clothes. Love the scent and love my new deodorant.

    Best Clean Deodorant

    I’ve tried so many clean deodorant brand. I was using the CORPUS natural deodorant prior and discovered this one at Credo from an employee recommendation. I’ve been restocking since then. Please don’t change this formula or discontinue this product. My favorite deodorant. Holds all day. Doesn’t linger onto clothing after washing and no stains when putting on.
