What is the difference between The Deodorant and The Deodorant Gel?

The Deodorant and The Deodorant Gel both contain Mandelic Acid, Vitamin B3 and Vitamin B5 for clean odor control and less shaving bumps. The Deodorant is a no-residue solid stick ideal for normal-to-heavy odor control. The Deodorant Gel is a clear quick-dry serum-in-gel ideal for light-to-normal odor control.

Why is The Deodorant formulated with Mandelic Acid?

The Deodorant and The Deodorant Gel are both formulated with Mandelic Acid to provide a low pH environment that inhibits the growth of odor-causing bacteria. While Mandelic Acid's primary role is to help provide clean odor control, the gentle exfoliation also helps to minimize shaving bumps.

Why is The Deodorant formulated without Ozokerite?

Nécessaire adheres to EU ingredient standards and EU ingredient listing. All ingredients inclusive of all incidentals are captured on our ingredient labels. During our development process of The Deodorant our clinical team and vendor partners were not able to find a clean Ozokerite as base for our formula. The available sources of Ozokerite that we found had incidental traces of BHT or Paraffin. We therefore used Sunflower Wax as our base. A Sunflower Wax base is softer which means that there can be slight dome imperfections, but we welcome those imperfections in exchange for better ingredients.

    Pleasantly Surprised

    I've been using unisex scents from Old Spice in their deodorant line for years as I don't like the antiperspirant chemicals. I can't say they worked all that well overall - I didn't have irritation, and they mostly covered up any unpleasant odors if it wasn't too late in the day. I tried this scent first while waiting for the Santal one to come out and would just like to say, it was life changing. I have no odor, even towards the end of the day, when I apply this in the morning. While I do still sweat sometimes, I sweat a lot less. I have no irritation on the skin, which I did get from time to time with Old Spice if I reapplied too much. If anything, I think this deo has evened out my skin tone so I don't have any noticeable discoloration. Then I thought, this will run out fast, that's the catch. Well, I am almost at 2 months using 1 stick daily, and still haven't run out. You also don't have to slather it on. Less is more. For the perks, I find that quite economical. Will recommend to anyone to at least try.

    Smells like Wealth

    This fragrance makes me feel like I'm a wealthy woman who wears simple basics but has ridiculously expensive accessories. The kind of woman who can have on a plain t-shirt but you can tell by the details that she's got racks in the bank. This deodorant is ten-ten, hands down. And it LASTS, okay. I'm never stinky even after a run, my underarms brightening up, and I'm smelling like culture. Auto-replenish me, please.

    New Holy Grail

    Amazing. I know some folks aren't in love with the smell, but it's so soft and comforting and sensual, and my husband commented on how much he likes it. Better odor control than any antiperspirant I've ever tried. Doesn't transfer to clothes or get them greasy (although I am still cautious), doesn't irritate my sensitive skin, doesn't give me synthetic fragrance headaches. Honestly, don't sleep on this. It's amazing.

    Best deodorant ever

    I have been searching for an aluminum free deodorant for a very long time and I am happy to say that I have finally found it! There's nothing about The Deodorant I don't love-the texture, the performance, and this scent-just amazing!
