A:

The Body Retinol should be used at night. If you are new to retinol consider a patch test. Apply to areas where treatment is needed. Apply to clean skin. Do not apply directly after shaving or waxing. Do not apply a moisturizer on top. Start by applying The Body Retinol once a week, graduating to every other night. Use sunscreen prior to sun exposure.

Retinol is a multi-functional ingredient. Pending concentration and supporting ingredients retinol can perform differently. The Body Retinol is designed to help prevent and repair crepiness, uneven texture and uneven tone.

A:

We refer to hydration as the water content within the cells that helps skin look and feel replenished and plump. We refer to moisturization as the ability to seal in moisture and to help strengthen the skin barrier. The Body Serum is designed as a hydrator. The Body Lotion is designed as a moisturizer.

Can I use the products while pregnant?

A:

We formulate without ingredients on the EU's prohibited substances list (Regulation No.1223/2009, Annex II). All Nécessaire products are Dermatologist-Tested, Hypoallergenic. Retinol products should not be used while pregnant and/or breastfeeding. We recommend consulting your physician to determine the best time to start or resume using retinols after your pregnancy.
